Valeria unknown
Valeria Unknown was partially choreographed in 2019, and was re-visited and staged in Spring 2022 (at SLDT in Queens), after the COVID lockdown.
This modern dance piece is UWAs first sci-fi piece. It tells a tale of the formation, evolution, destruction, and re-foramtion of a fictional galaxy named Valeria. All of the dancers helped imagine, choreograph and design the look of the piece. An original Playbill was given to each performer.
Performed at Salvatore Larussa Dance Theatre in Spring 2022.
“Long ago, a diary was found in a NYC park; it told a tale of the universe. This diary soon became the most valuable artifact in the world. Nobody knows the author’s true identity, but the galaxy named within was simply called Valeria. Historians named this book Valeria, Unknown.”
